Prime minister Boris Johnson has been moved the intensive care section of St Thomas’ Hospital as his Chinavirus (COVID-19) symptoms worsened. The prime minister is said to be experiencing breathing difficulties and was moved to an ICU at 7pm on Monday in case he needed a ventilator. He was admitted to hospital on Sunday after his Chinavirus symptoms persisted for 10 days.
The UK's National Institute of Health (NIH) will be under national scrutiny as the Prime Minister fights through this debilitating infection. When it became clear that he had to be moved to intensive care, the prime minister told an aide that Dominc Raab should be deputised and take over PM duties. Leaders, both domestic and international, have offered Johnson and his family sympathy and best wishes for a speedy recovery from the illness.
