JPMorgan’s CEOJamie Dimon, whose name has been quietly floated by an associate with No Labels as someone on the short list for No Labels’ 2024 presidential candidate, praised former President Donald Trump’s record and warned democrats to be “more respectful” of Trump’s supporters, or else risk hurting Joe Biden’s re-election, at the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland this week.

“I wish the democrats would think a little more carefully when they talk about MAGA,” Dimon said on CNBC on the Davos sidelines.

This was after President Joe Biden had admonished Trump and “MAGA Republicans” for being an existential threat to American democracy last September and more recently during Biden’s Valley Forge address.

“I think this negative talk about MAGA is going to hurt Biden’s election campaign,” Dimon said.

Democrats “are basically scapegoating them, [saying] that you are like him,” Dimon said. “I don’t think they’re voting for Trump because of his family values,” Dimon ironically stated after JPMorgan forked over $260 million to the late Jeffrey Epstein’s trafficked victims in June 2023, as earlier reported by CDM.

Dimon has donated to democratic candidates in the past, but previously described himself as “barely a Democrat.”

Last November, Dimon praised Trump’s presidential rival, Nikki Haley, who came in third in Iowa.

Dimon credited Trump for his policies at Davos.

“Take a step back, be honest. He was kind of right about NATO, kind of right on immigration. He grew the economy quite well. Trade tax reform worked. He was right about some of China.”

“He wasn’t wrong about some of these critical issues, and that’s why they voted for him,” Dimon said.

On the Ukraine and Russian war, after a meeting with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, when American support is waning, Dimon offered a spin.

“We have to teach the American public that this is about freedom and democracy for the free world, and that’s where the battle is being fought,” Dimon stated. “This is ‘America first’.”

Asked which candidate would be better for his business, Dimon said, “I have to be prepared for both. I will be prepared for both. We will deal with both.”

“And I hope whoever it is will be respectful of other people,” he added.
