Since the dissolution of the French parliament after the results of the EU election, elections during which Macron’s party got slapped very badly (Valerie Hayer, head of his group reached a poor 14%), we are facing a sort of political tornado.
Parliamentary elections were schemed to be organized in the worst possible ambiance with political parties' restricted budgets, lack of communication capacity due to the short notice, internal conflict of interest to parties (specially the former Sarkozy party). This led to a fragmented election result showing no leadership of any party, the RN (Marine Le Pen) getting reduced by of number of seats due to an “ugly against nature” alliance made between part of the right, the center, and the left (called NFP, or Nouveau Front Populaire), constituted of Marxist-Leninist, ecologists and social democrats, socialists, the two last being quite close to Macron’s party). That NFP last minute group creation was made to stop the progression of the far right (which is not comparable to what is happening in Ukraine in terms of fascism).
The curious mixture of left alliance emerged slightly ahead of others in terms of deputies but not enough to get to the famous bar of 289, defining a majority to decide. Suddenly everybody understands the political turmoil and chaos Macron has created in an explosive economic context due to the fact that the debt situation of the country has become unsustainable. But to add to the chaos, Macron’s refusal to accept the resignation of the prime minister has shown a strong will to disrespect the constitution. This led the public opinion and the political analysts, including his own party's greatest supporters, to question his mental balance. Does he realize he has LOST, and needs to resign himself?
Immediately after the results Melanchon, leading this misshapen NFP left group, declared he should be the prime minister (He is a Marxcist… Huuu), this declaration did not fail to terrify everyone but his lonely side of 79 deputies.
There is no other choice but for each party to see how they can operate with each other, who is compatible with who… We are witnessing a fork and knife battle intra / extra party during which everybody is smiling in front but stabs the opponent as soon as he is turning his shoulder. No leadership emerges from anywhere, and despite unsuccessful presentations of candidates to head the government, Macron accepted the resignation of the prime minister presented for the second time, BUT asked him to stay on the position because nobody is there to replace him. France has become a banana republic with nobody in the government (as soon as the PM resigned, constitutionally speaking all members had to be removed), a parliament with no structure of governance (head and quaestors are not assigned yet), with the Olympics starting in a few.
Macron became a King with nobody aside, in a kingdom with no population, hated by everyone. The end of his dream has come true, and perhaps, the end of the population's nightmare?
