Existing homes sales in the United States fell more than expected in the month of March, falling -4.9% vs -2.3% consensus estimate, with 5.21M sold versus 5.3M estimate.
The decline may have been a continued reaction to February's blowout 11.8% increase, reverting back to a normal range. Lower interest rates did not juice housing sales as expected.
