Today during an interview today with Fox News, President Trump declared he would like to have the economy back open by Easter of this year, in approximately three weeks.
“We’re opening up this incredible country. Because we have to do that. I would love to have it open by Easter,” said the President.
“I would love to have that. It’s such an important day for other reasons, but I’d love to make it an important day for this. I would love to have the country opened up, and rarin’ to go by Easter.”
This goal would be aggressive as cases of the disease are still rising across the U.S. as more testing becomes available. However, the economic cost of shutting down an entire nation is staggering and not sustainable.
