An attack Thursday outside the Kabul airport in Afghanistan that included two explosions and gunfire wounding at least 15 and killing at least 13 including four U.S. Marines, according to news reports.
Two suicide bombers and gunmen targeted crowds gathering near the Hamid Karzai International Airport, in Kabul, where thousands of people were waiting to be evacuated from the country, according to the Associated Press, based on information from Russian officials.
A U.S. official said the attack was "definitely believed" to have been carried out by the Islamic State group, whose affiliate in Afghanistan grew out of disaffected members of the Taliban, now in control of Afghanistan, who hold an even more extreme view of Islam...
