Rep. Mark Meadows was named President Donald Trump's 4th White House Chief of Staff in an 8PM Friday night tweet from the POTUS account. The acting Chief Mick Mulvaney who had been at the job for a little over a year will become the U.S. special envoy for Northern Ireland.
Meadows has been a stalwart supporter of the President and the Keep America Great agenda. He will step into his new role in the middle of a tumultuous health and financial crisis triggered by the coronavirus. There are also significant military hot spots around the globe including Turkey/Syria, North Korea and Afghanistan wich will keep the new Chief of Staff very busy.
Last December Rep. Mark Meadows announced that he would not seek reelection to his House seat from North Carolina.
