Hunter Biden is back in the news. This time it relates to a child support case involving the woman he impregnated in 2017, adult entertainer Lunden Roberts. Their dalliance came while Hunter was dating his late brother's wife, and shortly before meeting his current wife, who is also pregnant.
Hunter's counsel cited "coronavirus" as a reason he's skipping his court date, the same appearance the judge warned him not to miss. On February 27, Independence County Circuit Court Judge Holly Meyer said, “He needs to make himself available and unless his hair is on fire, he needs to be in Arkansas and he needs to be in a deposition.”
There is always a chance that Hunter has taken up freebasing, and that his hair could indeed be on fire at any given moment, a la Richard Pryor.
His lawyers went on to cite his pregnant wife, and the media circus a public appearance would cause, as ancillary reasons for missing the court date. It's an interesting strategy: become infamous for crack cocaine use, dating your dead brother's wife, impregnating a stripper and lying about it, taking shady jobs and making shady deals with foreign governments...and then use that infamy as a reason not to appear.
One suspects Judge Meyer won't be terribly forgiving. Pretending that the world revolves around his personal affairs is one thing, but invoking COVID-19 as a pretext for playing legal hooky is surprisingly cynical.
The trial for the case is scheduled for May.
Joe Biden let loose with another angry, fib-filled torrent today at a campaign stop, causing #BidensCognitiveDecline to trend yet again on Twitter. Biden has developed the unique habit of fighting with people who spend time and energy coming to see him speak, as CD Media reported in January.
As CD Media has reported, this isn't the first, or second, or third time in recent memory when Biden has flashed anger at voters in person. How this incident differs: Biden insulted a voter with a four letter word instead of "you fat." He also "shushed" a woman instead of a man. Then he lied about saying he was going to take guns, ignoring his own call to appoint Robert "Beto" O'Rourke as his gun czar.
Finally, he invented a new assault rifle, the "AR-14." The routine is old, but one bit of material is new. Voters aren't letting Biden's Second Amendment stance go unremarked upon.
