Federal law requires paper ballot records to be retained in a general election. Arizona uses paper ballots. No one has been allowed to see the paper ballots.

    Why is that?

42 USC 1974: Retention and preservation of records and papers by officers of elections; deposit with custodian; penalty for violationText contains those laws in effect on January 23, 2000From Title 42-THE PUBLIC HEALTH AND WELFARECHAPTER 20-ELECTIVE FRANCHISESUBCHAPTER II-FEDERAL ELECTION RECORDSJump To:Source CreditShort Title

§1974. Retention and preservation of records and papers by officers of elections; deposit with custodian; penalty for violation

Every officer of election shall retain and preserve, for a period of twenty-two months from the date of any general, special, or primary election of which candidates for the office of President, Vice President, presidential elector, Member of the Senate, Member of the House of Representatives, or Resident Commissioner from the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico are voted for, all records and papers which come into his possession relating to any application, registration, payment of poll tax, or other act requisite to voting in such election, except that, when required by law, such records and papers may be delivered to another officer of election and except that, if a State or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico designates a custodian to retain and preserve these records and papers at a specified place, then such records and papers may be deposited with such custodian, and the duty to retain and preserve any record or paper so deposited shall devolve upon such custodian. Any officer of election or custodian who willfully fails to comply with this section shall be fined not more than $1,000 or imprisoned not more than one year, or both.

Why? Perhaps because the justice system in the USA is compromised at all levels.

They just typed numbers into the Dominion System, and on top of that, I'd bet that the paper ballots that do exist have no folds and look like they were fresh from the printers. Evidence of vote Switching in Georgia right here.

Well, they are still making the paper ballots to support the electronic images...

The purpose of retaining the votes for 22 months is to count, recount, audit and verify in order for the State Legislators to legally carry out their duties under the U.S. Constitution and falls under "or other act requisite to voting in such election". It does not say no one can see them. It says the election officer retains and preserves. If the election officer does not retain or preserve then $1,000 fine, jail or both. There is absolutely nothing in this statute that gives the election officer the ability to withhold one scrap of paper.

Comprehension people when you read goes a long way.

Nothing there states that the ballots cannot be validated by the proper authorities, and the legislature is proper.
