The United States Senate has acquitted former President Donald Trump in the impeachment trial over 'incitement of violence' at the Capitol on Jan 6th.

Senate Majority Leader, reportedly complicit in the entire charade, voted to acquit.

“While a close call, I am persuaded that impeachments are a tool primarily of removal and therefore we lack jurisdiction,” McConnell emailed to his Republican colleagues.

The vote was largely along party lines.
