Without all the votes tallied in Arizona both CNN and NBC/MSNBC have called the Arizona gubernatorial race as a projected win for Secretary of State Katie Hobbs over Kari Lake, a Trump-backed republican and former television anchor.

The Associated Press, CNN, MSNBC/NBC called the race on Monday evening following a protracted ballot counting process in a very close race without the full  count.

Pivotal votes came in from Pima and Maricopa Counties and that is when the AP, and networks cut loose with their call.

Polling had favored Lake to defeat Hobbs, who faced scrutiny over her handling of the 2020 presidential election state count as Secretary of State, and Hobb’s bid for governor.

This story is developing to see if any legal challenges will be made.
