Hallie Biden, the widow of President Biden’s late son, Beau, and former lover of Beau’s brother, Hunter Biden, is identified as the third family member of the Biden First Family to have receive money from China.
She received a cut from the $3 million from China, which was initially sent to a law firm associated with Hunter Biden, according to subpoenaed bank records.
The revelation stems from the congressional investigation into Joe Biden’s finances led by Rep. James Comer, Chair of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee.
The congressional memo claims that “from 2015 through 2017, the Biden family members and their companies received over $1.3 million in payments from Rob Walker related accounts.”
Joe Biden left office as Vice-President in the Obama administration in January 2017.
Hallie received $35,000 in two transfers in March 2017 from Biden family associate John 'Rob' Walker, after he received the $3 million wire from the Chinese State Energy HK Limited, a firm affiliated with CEFC China Energy.
After receiving the deposit from the Chinese firm, Walker distributed monies to four family members, including Hallie Biden, Hunter Biden, Jim Biden, an account named “Biden’s,” and a company of another associate of the Biden family, James Gilliar.
Hallie was married to Beau Biden until his death in 2015. Following Beau’s death, Hallie was romantically involved with Hunter Biden.
When Hallie and Hunter’s relationship went public, the then Vice-President Biden announced publicly that he and Jill Biden gave Hallie and Hunter their blessing although Hunter was still married at the time.
The GOP is also investigating what, if any, services Walker or the Biden family members provided to receive the cash from China.
“Pursuant to a subpoena, the Committee recently obtained financial records related to Mr. John Robinson Walker, a Biden family associate, and his company Robinson Walker, LLC. Prior to issuing the subpoena, the Committee received information that Mr. Walker used his company to transfer money to Biden family members. The bank records proved that information correct,” reads the memo.
Comer asks in the memo why Hallie Biden, who purportedly was working as a school counselor received money from Rob Walker, who received the initial deposit from the Chinese firm.
Comer also took a shot at ranking member Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD).
“Ranking Member Jamie Raskin mischaracterized the substance of the bank records by referencing payments related to Mr. Walker’s miscellaneous purchases such as “Papa John’s” and “coffee at Starbucks,' he wrote, referencing a blistering memo by Raskin blasting the probe as strictly political,” further reads the memo.
'Rep. Raskin omitted material facts that Robinson Walker, LLC received a $3 million wire from a Chinese company in March 2017—less than two months after Vice President Joe Biden left public office—and that Mr. Walker then transferred over a million dollars to various bank accounts associated with the Bidens in the following months,' Comer wrote.
President Biden and the White House have denied repeatedly that President Biden has ever discussed family members' business deals.
The memo also references Biden associate James Giliar.
“After the Chinese company wired Robinson Walker, LLC the $3 million, the Biden family received approximately $1,065,692 over a three-month period in different bank accounts. Notably, EEIG, James Gilliar’s affiliated company, received almost the exact same amount— $1,065,000—on March 2, 2017.”
