House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer Saturday night demanded the U.S. Secret Service provide answers to Congress about how they failed to stop the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump early Saturday evening during one of his rallies in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Just hours after Trump survived the attack, Comer announced that he is demanding testimony from the head of the Secret Service as well as documents and other evidence.

”I have already contacted the Secret Service for a briefing and am also calling on Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle to appear for a hearing,” Comer posted on X. “The Oversight Committee will send a formal invitation soon.

“My prayers are with President Trump and the victims of the assassination attempt at today’s rally in Pennsylvania. I thank the brave Secret Service members who put their lives at risk to protect President Trump and for the American patriots in the audience who helped others who were hurt,” Comer added. “Political violence in all forms is un-American and unacceptable. There are many questions and Americans demand answers.”

On Saturday evening during its coverage, CDM’s Founder L. Todd Wood reported that he had learned that the Trump campaign had asked for additional Secret Service detail, but that request was denied by the Biden Administration.

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. has requested Secret Service Protection six times and Joe Biden has denied protection for Kennedy. Each time, the Biden administration has lied and used the excuse that Secret Service Protection is only assigned 120 from the election. That is a lie and historically proven to be a lie.

By Saturday evening the notion that Trump asked for more agents and it was denied took hold on social media

By late Saturday evening, American First Legal announced that it was investigating the assassination attempt and had filed an expedited FOIA request with Department of Homeland Security.

“Sean Davis reports that “the former and future president’s detail has been asking for beefed up protection and resources for weeks, but has been rebuffed time and again by Biden’s DHS.”1 Therefore, pursuant to 5 U.S.C. § 552, we request: 1. Records reflecting all calendar entries for the time frame of June 14, 2024, through July 14, 2024, of the following officials:

o Director of the United States Secret Service

o Deputy Director of the United States Secret Service

o Secretary, Deputy Secretary, General Counsel, Chief of Staff, and any Front Office advisor at DH” reads AFL’s FOIA request.

“Now, more than ever, accurate information about the decisions made by DHS leadership is critical to informing the public as to whether the Biden Administration is providing adequate resources to allow the United States Secret Service to appropriately protect a leading candidate for President of the United States,” states their request further.

Like the REST of the Democrat-coopted Federal agencies (which is ALL of them), the SS will either lie nonstop, or they'll just tell Comer to p1ss up a rope. And they'll get away with it, as usual.
