US Navy brass is working hard to force seditious Captain Brett Crozier, formerly in command of the USS Roosevelt, to be returned to the helm of 'The Big Stick'.
The U.S. Navy’s top officials recommended Friday that the captain relieved of duty after sounding the alarm of a growing coronavirus outbreak aboard an aircraft carrier should be reinstated, The New York Times reports, wrote CNBC.
Apparently, Secretary of Defense Mark Esper is considering the request.
Allowing this man to return as Captain of one of the most powerful war-fighting machines of the American military would be a horrendous mistake and set a terrible example for those officers junior to him in rank, and to the personnel of the U.S. military in general. It would show that any officer can break the chain of command, inform our enemies of the combat capability of our combat units, and take decisions above his pay grade into his own hands, with no consequences. It would be the end of order and discipline in the military, a seditious scenario the prior Obama administration worked hard to implement.
Esper already made the wrong decision by forcing the former Secretary of the Navy Thomas Modly to resign over the incident. Modly was not wrong; he was insensitive, a crime worse than treason in today's ranks filled with SJWs.
Crozier was relieved by Modly after the captain’s letter pleading for help to mitigate the spread of the virus aboard the aircraft carrier was leaked to the media. Modly then took a 35-hour trip, which cost taxpayers $243,000, to address the crew of the Roosevelt, added CNBC.
In the address, delivered via the ship’s loudspeaker, Modly doubled down on his decision to relieve Crozier and called the former vessel’s captain “naive” and “stupid.” Hours later Modly issued an apology to the Navy.
Discipline and adherence to the Uniform Code of Military Justice, in conjunction with enforcement of the chain of command, is what made the American armed forces the most powerful and successful in human history.
Force Captain Crozier to retire Mr. Secretary. That is better than he deserves. For forcing an aircraft carrier offline during a biological war with China is inexcusable. He should be in the brig.

In infantry OCS we were in the middle of a training exercise trying to take a hill from the enemy. Suddenly, someone blurted out on the radio that his M-60 machine gun was out of ammo. The training evaluators immediately stopped the exercise and commenced to chew serious ass. Assuming the enemy was monitoring our frequency, which they were, we just told them where we were weak and exposed. The commander of the Roosevelt did the same thing in a much more serious circumstance. Crozier did it outside the chain of command. He is a O-6 captain with years of experience, he should have known better. We may not be at war with China but they have been our enemy for seventy years. This officer cannot command a vital warship. Not saying he should be sent to the brig but our Navy does not need him.
Over the years, I have observed the Navy brass constantly screw the lower ranks when the SHF, even to the point of manipulation of facts and evidence. When it's one of their own "Higher Ups" it's a different story. The word duplicity comes to mind. Really not surprised.
As a retired Navy man, former holder of a TS/SCI clearance and also someone who was on active duty during the Walker scandal I cannot be more forceful in my opposition to restoring Captain Crozier to command. He could have sent the same letter via classified Naval Message to his chain of command but instead chose to send via unclassified email, thus insuring the leak, something that was almost undoubtedly his goal.
No, no and no. The crew of the TR might like it, but I guarantee the rest of the Navy will suffer the consequences if Esper doesn't stick with the decision. I can't even believe the Navy brass is recommending this for one minute. Fire.

Why is the media even discussing this? No one outside of the Navy actually gives a shit what happens to him.
As an x Naval aviator, with a T/S clearance, what the navy brass did was a mistake. I wish all commanders had the BALLS that this Capt has. What he did was in the best interest of his men at a time when the brass was not helping with the problem. He deserves his ship back, and an apology from all liberals.
The number of sick, one dead and others infected justify the Captains actions.

Mary Potter, the Uniform Code of Military Justice & the nature of military operations require adherence to SECURE & PROTECTED communications. Captain Crozier placed a major U.S. asset, an aircraft carrier including a carrier group, in potential harms way. As a Marine veteran I believe the acting Secretary of the Navy did the RIGHT thing in "shitcanning" an upper echelon officer that failed to protect his ships' communication security. As a ground-pounder, I was all too aware of communications security that could easily lead to my fellow Marine's deaths. The old war quote comes to mind; "LOOSE LIPS SINK SHIPS."
About 6,500 seaman, officers and dignitaries from the entire TR strike force made port in Danang the 1st week of March.

And media coverage! - any stupified drones have a thought to pursue DOD for virus stats on the other ships? Disparity in virus threat, reaction, etc - as in - put this incident in perspective? I realize asking rational questions is a stretch.
the clown should have a Court Martial convened , get to the bottom of it and air everything, if he really is "innocent".....he'll be cleared.
But , as I surmise , it will confirm his removal as beneficial to the Service.
It's shocking there are people advocating his reinstatement, wow, no concept of Military affairs and discipline.
