Powell, Kelly, Mattis Should Be Ashamed

President Trump has a real problem at the Department of Defense. This was shown in stark contrast last week with the disloyal behavior of Secretary of Defense Mark Esper when he channeled Al Haig in his 'I'm in charge here' moment, and publicly disavowed the policy of the President of the United States regarding the invocation of the Insurrection Act to put down the Marxist race riots.

The problems at DOD are more consequence from the criminal Obama administration.

Obama fired at least 197 of the warrior generals, now many that are left are social justice warriors, or those that are afraid to speak up lest they not make rank as the Obama mafia is in charge.

DOD is now a cesspool of cultural Marxist ideology. The Marxist garbage that is being taught at our service academies to new cadets is just the tip of the iceberg.

This cannot stand if we want a free country. The military cannot be beholden to a Leftist ideology.

What the president [Obama] calls "my military" is being cleansed of any officer suspected of disloyalty to or disagreement with the administration on matters of policy or force structure, leaving the compliant and fearful, wrote the editorial page of Investor's Business Daily in 2013.

Yet what has happened to our officer corps since President Obama took office is viewed in many quarters as unprecedented, baffling and even harmful to our national security posture. 

The most high-profile example of Hussein's purge, was the firing of General Carter Ham, after he actually threatened to save Americans from Obama's incompetence, or something more sinister, at Benghazi.

We have commented on some of the higher profile cases, such as Gen. Carter Ham. He was relieved as head of U.S. Africa Command after only a year and a half because he disagreed with orders not to mount a rescue mission in response to the Sept. 11, 2012, attack in Benghazi, writes IBD.

Rear Adm. Chuck Gaouette, commander of the John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group, was relieved in October 2012 for disobeying orders when he sent his group on Sept. 11 to "assist and provide intelligence for" military forces ordered into action by Gen. Ham.

Now you have retired globalist officers and civilian officials threatening to not carry out the policy of the United States commander-in-chief, or even advocating removing him from office. These retired officers such as Mattis, Kelly, and Powell should be shamed by veterans the world over.

Donald Trump has a big job ahead. He must find a way to purge DOD of Leftist influence.

To do so, he will have to stop appointing appeasers to the Left to positions of power.
