If you are seeking liberty by attempting to clean up the government or politicians you will be scrubbing for a while and will probably not get much done. Those of us truly fighting for our country can see that the road to liberty does not pass through state capitals. A detour is needed, one that goes around the capitals and directly into the heart of America where We the People can band together and hold the greatest power. It is time to let the politicians and lobbyists know they are not the power in America, we are. It is not that we do not want to help maintain liberty through good policy, but rather that those state capitals so beautiful on the outside reek of rot on the inside and only serve an establishment, not the people. They will never fix themselves.

If you have ever tried to influence legislation you know it can be a frustrating task, like pushing an uncoiled rope uphill. Especially if you are just an “average citizen.” When a citizen speaking for themself stands before a committee to tell them what is good, bad, or ugly about the bill for which they are getting input, the citizen is taking part in tribal rituals that are decades old. Most of the time it is just a façade, a despicable display of feigned interest. Most legislators know the fix is in and they are comfortable lying to your face. So, like a dog returning to its vomit, we keep coming back to testify or keep voting for people because they are the lesser of two evils, or because we think we can fix them. The problem is you are the least important of the tribes.

Sure, many will say they love citizen engagement, but they often ignore your arguments and vote the way of the more powerful tribes on the battlefield of government. What are those tribes? They are first, other politicians and those who peddle favors while trading votes; second, the media/big tech, who intentionally exploit division and magnify only certain messages while silencing others; and third, lobbyists. The fourth tribe is the citizen, and we are treated more like the court jester at this point unless you happen to be rich and lining the pockets of politicians. In which case you do not testify anyway, you bribe.

Let us instead look at four critical things about America today.

    1. It’s no longer party vs. party in America, it’s we the people vs. the institutions of tyranny.

Marxism has a long history of dividing people into tribes or classes and then exploiting that division to achieve larger objectives. Marxism has the same results, whether called Nazi (National Socialist) or Communist (just another socialist), the aim is centralized control over people’s lives so the marriage of government, business, and media can grow and flourish while the people fight amongst themselves. Marxism is the goal, and it should not matter what party anybody belongs to, all must stand up and say we are Americans and eradicate the institutions of tyranny.

    2. In America we the people are ultimately in charge, and we must fix this country.

We cannot rely on politicians of any stripe or party to do what is necessary to change the course of this nation. Let us be honest, the parties are sold out to the establishment. Americans have done hard things throughout our short history, and we must again. But we need to recognize that we must change the game, not just color in the lines drawn for us. By refocusing at the local level and rebuilding communities of true resilience we can increasingly make the federal government irrelevant in our lives, the way it was supposed to be. When the federal government is small and the state governments do their job of standing between the feds and the people, then we will see good things happen. Most importantly, when people stand up in the millions, we will see great things happen.

    3. The government is not our boss, we are the boss of the government, it’s time we act like it and those in government remember it.

The greatest power broker in America is the people. The real power pyramid in America does not have the people at the bottom with the federal government at the top, it is the other way around. Thus, the most powerful word in America is “no.” Running a close second is the phrase “We do not consent.” Whether it is the federal reserve attempting to dictate Central Bank Digital Currencies, bureaucratic rule makers arbitrarily saying we cannot use incandescent bulbs, that vehicles must meet certain fuel mileage requirements, or the CDC mandating a useless mask, Americans have the power of saying “no” and reminding the petty pretend tyrants that they serve us, they do not rule us. The problem is that it takes a mass movement of the people, not just a few of us prospective martyrs constantly trying to provide early warning.

    4. Through joy, peace, courage, and perseverance we will prevail over those who would seek to control us.

Though there are many of our opposition comfortable threatening or using violence in pursuit of political goals, we patriots do not need to fall prey to such provocations. We must be the joyful warriors who operate from a position of courage. To stand up to evil, to never quit, and to be courageous does not mean we give up our joy. In fact, it is in our joy that Americans will see the difference between those who want to preserve the best of our nation, and those who want to burn it to the ground.
