Widespread obesity is a 'new thing'. All you have to do it look at photos from the 1970s to see that people were not across the board fat as they are today.

Something happened.

Most likely it's processed foods, and a plethora of chemicals in our echosystem. It also could be vaccines.

In any event, it's 'man made', not natural, what is happening to Western civilization.

And, most likely, it's been done on purpose.

I admit, I wouldn't be so cynical a few years ago, but now, it is obvious to me what is going on, after the complete collapse of morality in our healthcare 'system'.
