AOC Responds To Biden’s “Green New Deal Is Not My Plan”
During a fiery first presidential debate between President Trump and Joe Biden, Trump connected Biden with the progressive, far left branch of his party. But Biden made it clear on the stage that he is running on a centrist campaign, saying, “The Green New Deal is not my plan.”
Biden continued, “No, I don’t support the Green New Deal. I support the Biden plan I put forward, which is different than what [Trump] calls the Green New Deal.”
Former counselor to the president, Kellyanne Conway, who recently left the White House, tweeted this quote to Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and it got under her skin.”
The representative, who is known for what she likes to call “clapping back” at her twitter comments, responded, “This isn’t news, Kellyanne. Our differences are exactly why I joined the Biden’s Climate Unity Task Force- so we could set aside our differences & figure out an aggressive climate plan to address the planetary crisis at our feet. Trump doesn’t even believe climate change is real.”
The Green New Deal, which would cost up to $93 trillion taxpayer dollars, is AOC’s most valued piece of legislation. During the Democrat primary, she picked up some high-profile candidates’ endorsement of the legislation.
But Joe Biden knows he needs the AOC supporters to come out for him if he wants to defeat President Trump in November. Biden’s plan, titled, “Biden’s Plan for a Clean Energy Revolution & Environmental Justice,” is a ten-year plan that would cost $1.7 trillion.
Why this matters: AOC is clearly not concerned about the influence she will have if Biden is elected to the White House. While she has continued to say that the numbers in her plan “will work themselves out,” she took a less aggressive tone than her usual tweets against Kellyanne Conway’s tweet. It is clear that the Democrats understand now that if they want Biden elected, they have to toe the line.
Sanders Warns Biden After Election Victory: “We’re Going To Have A Serious Debate”
While Democrats are coming together to elect Joe Biden, democratic socialist Senator Bernie Sanders made it clear the same type of unity won’t happen after November 3rd. Sanders, who was the frontrunner for most of the primary before South Carolina, and who has a strong grassroots coalition, wants it to be known that the real battle will come after the victory.
In an interview with Trevor Noah, Sanders said, “We’re going to come together to defeat Trump. And the day after Biden is elected, we’re going to have a serious debate about the future of the country, but it will be done within the framework of a democratic society.”
Sanders said that a “united front” has formed in their opposition against Trump, and called it “coalition politics.” Biden, who is campaigning now as a moderate, is trying his best to also paint his running mate the same way. The Democratic ticket knows if they want to win in November, they’re going to have to drop most of the far-left’s agenda before people vote. But Sanders has made it clear, the far-left is not going away.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who delivered Sander’s acceptance speech (because he won 300 delegates), made sure to set up the framework of a “coalition and a movement,” but then shocked viewers when she championed Bernie Sanders. While this was within Convention rules, the way she delivered her speech left heads spinning, and it was noticeable she made no mention of Joe Biden.
Progressives are relying on Biden’s win to put some of their key figures in positions of power. Reports are surfacing that Senator Warren, another progressive, wants to be Treasury Secretary. These bids come with Biden’s “moderate” approach, which include massive tax hikes, and fundamentally destroying the energy industry in the United States. Furthermore, far-left leaders are calling to totally defund the police, and other measures to erase what they call “systemic racism” in the United States. Republican leaders, like Mike Pence, have noted that not one speaker at the Democratic National Convention brought up the destruction, rioting, and looting that is happening in many American cities. As cities like New York see an increase in violence and crime, this topic will be one of Trump’s crucial campaign differences form Biden, and an issue that will most likely cause many voters to head to the polls.
Ilhan Omar Calls For the Dismantlement of American System
While politicians, such as Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, have called for the dismantlement of the police, her colleague in the House wants to go much further. Representative Ilhan Omar laid out a much different America while at a press conference in Minnesota on Tuesday, as she piggy backed off calls for police reform to something much more drastic.
At the conference, Omar said, “We can’t stop at criminal justice reform or policing reform. We are not merely fighting to tear down the systems of oppression in the criminal justice system. We are fighting to tear down systems of oppression that exist in housing, in education, in health care, in employment, and in the air we breathe.” Part of her plan includes providing “homes for all,” because house ownership is more likely for a White family than for a Black family. She continued, “As long as our economy and political systems prioritize profit without considering who is profiting, who is being shut out, we will perpetuate this inequality.” Omar advocated for the passage of the Green New Deal, stating that environmental racism is a real thing. She was supported in her statements by her fellow “squad” member, Representative Rashida Tlaib, who wrote on Twitter, “My sister @IlhanMN said it best: We must begin with dismantling the whole system of oppression wherever we find it. Pass it on.”
What has been viewed as a call for communism in the United States has sparked fierce backlash from politicians. Senator Blackburn, in particular, called on Omar to resign. In a tweet, she said, “Ilhan Omar took an oath to defend and protect the Constitution, not shred it. Omar and her Marxist comrades are a threat to our Democracy. Omar should resign.”
Ilhan Omar has come under scrutiny this week for paying her husband’s consulting firm more than $878,000 since 2018. Omar’s Congressional campaign is her husband’s biggest client. While the Congressman wants to dismantle the system, ironically, she is directly benefiting from it economically.
On Monday, the Trump administration implemented their controversial policy that will restrict green cards for people who are dependent on welfare. For years now, we’ve been told that welfare benefits were only available to citizens but now that Trump has cemented that, the liberal news is propping up stories of poor immigrants who will be destitute now without their food stamps.
The left's weaponizing of natural human empathy comes from a much darker place than just trying to guilt Americans into letting these poor suffering people into the country so they could experience a better life.
The real goal is to get as
many of those poor people in and keep them dependent on welfare so when they
vote (legally or not), they become Democratic voters for life because that is
how their “better life” is guaranteed.
The same leftists upset immigrants are no longer able to receive American taxpayer funding are the same folks who argue "voter fraud" doesn't exist. Let’s end that, too, Like immigrants receiving welfare, if it wasn’t happening before, how could you be sad once it stops?
contenders have come out totally in support of the wholesale replacement of
Americans. The leaders on the recent debate stage are proposing open borders,
Medicare for all (including illegal immigrants) and even giving non-citizens
the right to vote.
If that makes you uncomfortable, it’s because some part of you recognizes that every country is a minority on this planet which is why sovereignty is so important. It protects the diversity Democrats claim to own, and p.s., they'll call you a racist anyway.
I’m old enough to remember when Joe Wilson, the Representative from South Carolina, was raked over hot coals for yelling “You lie!” during President Obama’s State of the Union address. The heckling came after Obama denied that Obamacare would cover illegal immigrants. Obama’s response was to double down when he stopped his speech, looked directly at Wilson and said, “That’s not true.”
Of course, we know that President Obama was lying then and hasn’t stopped since. And we also know that Obamacare was exploited via “emergency Medicaid” and given to illegal immigrants. Hindsight is 20/20 - Rep. Wilson shouldn’t have issued that apology after all. He only validated the outrage.
“But while federal law generally bars illegal immigrants from being covered by Medicaid, a little-known part of the state-federal health insurance program for the poor pays about $2 billion a year for emergency treatment for a group of patients who, according to hospitals, mostly comprise illegal immigrants. Most of it goes to reimburse hospitals for delivering babies for women who show up in their emergency rooms, according to interviews with hospital officials and studies.
“We can’t turn them away,” said Joanne Aquilina, the chief financial officer of Bethesda Healthcare System in Boynton Beach, Fla., which sees many illegal immigrants because of its proximity to farms where they harvest sugarcane and other seasonal crops.
Nearly one-third of Bethesda Hospital East’s 2,900 births each year are paid for by Emergency Medicaid, the category that covers mainly illegal immigrants.
That’s not enough for the new brand of spiritual mathematicians like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who has pushed welfare for illegal immigrants hardest in her caucus of radicals.
Back in October, she introduced a set of legislation that included giving undocumented immigrants the same access to welfare as U.S. citizens, calling it her plan for a “just society.”
AOC, like the rest of the mainstream media,
only tells one part of the story. This isn’t really about welfare leeches
losing their foothold in America, it’s about the long game. Who do we want to
be the next generation of Americans? Do we want a community that comes together
to help someone on hard times, or do we want a society that is continually
feeding 60 million people?
And while the left focuses on the person impacted by President Trump’s policy, they continue to ignore the rest of us, especially those so overburdened with their individual tax share that they are almost at the point of needing welfare.
If that happens, the cycle will be complete. We'll all be dependent.
Alleged Homewrecker Ilhan Omar Claims She's Still Married To Husband
Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), outspoken freshman congresswoman, anti-Semitic Muslim, alleged immigration-cheating former bride to her biological brother, and member of the notorious "Squad," claimed today that she is still married to her second husband, Ahmed Abdisalan Hirsi. Further, she denied carrying on an affair with a consultant to her office, Tim Mynett of the firm E. Street Group.
"I have no interest in allowing the conversation about my personal life to continue and so I have no desire to discuss it," Omar stated today in an interview with Minneapolis news station WCCO, which acceded to Omar's dismissive attitude. The CBS affiliate upheld the Minneapolis media's softball protocol in all things Muslim, asking breathlessly of Omar, "You seem just completely unfazed and unbowed...I mean, how do you do it?"
Mynett's estranged wife, Dr. Beth Mynett, stated in a divorce filing that her husband was and is involved in an affair with Omar, and that his “more recent travel and long work hours now appear to be more related to his affair with Rep. Omar than with his actual work commitments." Mr. Mynett has received $230,000 in campaign funds for his consultancy.
Omar claims that she feels obliged to carry on "the work that I feel I was destined to do,” which is curious given that she, like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), didn't choose a life in politics, but was recruited by the leftist candidate factory Justice Democrats, a PAC under federal investigation in yet another case of illegal use of campaign contributions, charges which recently forced the resignation of disgraced Justice Democrats co-founder Saikat Chakrabarti.
Omar is the latest beneficiary of "Minnesota Nice" journalism. She travels the well-worn trail blazed by alleged domestic abuser and former congressman Keith Ellison, whose blatant denials of beating his girlfriend Karen Monahan were covered gently by local media, even in the face of video evidence captured by Monahan's son.
"Ellison supporters questioned the timing of the allegations days before the [Minnesota attorney general] primary," the Star Tribune sniffed.
The message is clear in progressive havens such as Minneapolis, the former anti-Semitic capital of the U.S.: as long as your skin isn't white, and especially if you are a Muslim, immoral and unethical behavior will be overlooked, and even rewarded. Ellison won his post-scandal election. Time will tell if Omar does the same in 2020.
AOC In Trouble: Chief Of Staff Resigns, Under Federal Investigation; "Squad" Falling Apart
The Man Behind The Curtain
The guerrilla warfare arm of the new leftists has sustained three unique injuries. Conservatives everywhere should rejoice, but take heed. The socialists are learning, and will be better prepared next time.
Saikat Chakrabarti, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's chief of staff, is being investigated on campaign finance violations and has resigned. While this might sound like small-to-medium potatoes, consider that Chakrabarti is the co-founder of Justice Democrats--the PAC that recruited former bartender AOC and her friends Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar--as well as another PAC, Brand New Congress.
He is the Ivy League-educated mastermind with Wall St. and Silicon Valley experience. He was the driving force behind the rise of the Squad, as CD Media has reported previously. A federal conviction might mean trouble for AOC herself, who is under suspicion of trying to cover Chakrabarti's tracks by essentially laundering money through the payment of relatively hefty salaries to campaign staffers.
Failed Kingmaker Of Queens...For Now
Adding to his problems, another of Chakrabarti's Justice Democrats candidates, Tiffany Cabán, conceded defeat to longtime incumbent Melinda Katz in the race for Queens district attorney yesterday. The race was closely watched in that it mimicked AOC's ground-shaking ouster of another longtime Democrat fixture, Joe Crowley.
The Justice Democrats' tactics were the same in both cases: find low voter-turnout districts, recruit an attractive, young woman of color regardless of her experience, and saturate voters with aggressive grassroots efforts, and finance the operation with suspicious amounts of money raised outside the district, often as far away as the opposite coast.
It almost worked again. Cabán appeared to have the win, but was forced to concede after a torturous recount left her a mere 55 votes shy. While it comes as a relief, the underlying message is much more somber: these tactics of recruiting empty vessels, filling them with socialist values, and backing them financially is, by and large, working.
Conservatives have two avenues to take: sink to the leftist level and build a similar machine, or go on the defensive and track groups like Justice Democrats and Brand New Congress in order to ramp up retaliatory efforts, and fight them where seek to grow their numbers. The problem is, Republicans aren't the target. Chakrabarti's groups go after moderate Democrats, seeking to replace the party from within.
For now, the only working model is to promote Republicans to unseat the socialists after they have been elected, as in the case of Scherie Murray, a Republican woman of color who will run against AOC in the next election, hoping to bring her common-sense, pro-business message to Queens/Bronx voters who feel deceived--and robbed of potential Amazon jobs--after voting for AOC.
What Squad Goals?
Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), the most accomplished member of the Squad (she had a political career before Chakrabarti took her under the Squad's wing), did not vote with her girlfriends in the case of a recent bill.
As Politico reports, "The matter in question was a resolution opposing a Palestinian-led movement to boycott Israel. The measure passed the House overwhelmingly...Among the 17 'no' votes were three members of the Squad: Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib. Pressley, the fourth, voted 'yes.'"
Given that the bill never had a chance of passing, Pressley's decision to go the other way is all the more surprising. Time will tell if dissent is allowed in the Squad, especially now that the attention they're receiving is the kind no one wants: federal.
