Mark Zuckerberg, appearing on "The Joe Rogan Experience" podcast on Thursday, stated that the FBI warned his company officials about a "Russian propaganda dump" prior to the New York Post publishing its October 14, 2020 story about Hunter Biden's laptop.
Sources have confirmed to CDMedia that those communications occurred after the F.B.I. picked up the laptop from John Paul Mac Isaac computer shop in Delaware on December 9, 2019.
“The FBI basically came to us and some folks on our team and said, ‘Hey, just so you know, you should be on high alert. We thought there was a lot of Russian propaganda in the 2016 election and we have noticed that basically there’s about to be some kind of dump that’s similar to that, so just be vigilant,'" Zuckerberg told Rogan (Spotify timestamp 1:47:40).
Zuckerberg went on to contrast his company's policy with Twitter’s, which banned the story outright.
"The distribution on Facebook was decreased, but people were still allowed to share it,” Zuckerberg said.
"The ranking in newsfeed was a little bit less," he continued. "Fewer people saw it than they would have otherwise."
Zuckerberg basically admitted his company rolled over without vetting that the laptop story was disinformation or Russian disinformation. He did not apologize for their censorship.
"If the FBI... they come to us and tell us that we need to be on guard about something, then I want to take that seriously," he said.
"Did they specifically say that you needed to be on guard about that story?" Rogan asked.
Zuckerberg could “not recall” if the FBI warned of the story.
CDMedia sources have reported that Twitter was also contacted by the FBI.
On October 19, 2020 after the New York Post story ran just five days earlier, more than 50 former intelligence officers released a statement pushing the narrative that the Hunter Biden laptop story was Russian propaganda.
Miranda Devine of the New York Post, who broke the initial Hunter Biden story, later wrote, The “Dirty 51” lied by painting our stories as Russian disinformation in an Oct. 19, 2020, letter they signed and delivered to Politico five days after The Post exposé and three days before the final presidential debate of the election campaign.”
CDMedia TV American Conversations host, Christine Dolan and L.Todd Wood recently interviewed John Paul Mac Isaac at great length over three days. Hunter Biden gave his laptops to Mac Isaac on April 12, 2019. There is no on better who knows this story than Mr. Mac Isaac.
First episode can be watched here.
It is the public’s interest to read the letter the intelligence officers delivered to Politico to create this disinformation based upon nothing, but their opinions and no vetting of the laptop as they admit, and juxtaposition their conclusion with the man, who gave the laptop to the F.B.I. in December 2019.
Names on this list include those who continue to frequently appear on MSNBC and CNN, like John Brennan and James Clapper, and one individual, who currently serves as the staff director of the January 6 Committee.
David B. Buckley, former Inspector General, Central Intelligence Agency, former Democratic Staff Director, House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, former Counterespionage case officer, U.S. Air Force, and now Staff Director of the January 6th Committee.
Buckley has his own controversial past for not protecting whistleblowers.
As early as July 2021, that story was reported by CNN.
