The Trump campaign has filed a lawsuit in a Georgia court seeking to halt the certification of presidential election results in that state pending the holding of "a new presidential election" there.
The lawsuit, filed Friday in the Superior Court of Fulton County, alleges that tens of thousands of illegal votes were counted in the election results, resulting in "substantial doubt as to the outcome of the Contested Election."
"[A]ny certification associated therewith should be enjoined, vacated, and nullified," the suit demands, "and either a new presidential election be immediately ordered that complies with Georgia law or such other just and equitable relief is obtained so as to comport with the Constitution of the State of Georgia..."
