NBC News has projected the GOP will take control of the U.S. House of Representatives. 

The 2022 mid-term election red wave did not happen the way some pundits projected, but a win is a win nevertheless.

If NBC’s call holds, the count lands republicans with 219 congressional seats and democrats with 216 congressional seats. 

Still outstanding is the Senate count leaving that open when Hershel Walker and Senator Raphael Warnock face each other again in their runoff on December 6. 

Neither candidate received the state regulated threshold of 50%, and as a result, both will be campaigning feverishly for the next weeks. 

Hershel raised $3.3 million in 24 hours after the November 8 election. The next day, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee pledged $7 million for Warnock. 

More money is expected to be thrown at the Georgia race as the parties battle control.
